Does standing after the second rak‘a and immediately returning to sitting invalidate the prayer?

Question

If, in a four-rak'a prayer, the imam omits the first sitting and stands up fully, then returns to sitting and afterwards also performs sajda al-sahw, will the prayer be valid or not? If it is valid, then how [is one to understand] the explicit statement of the fiqh books “فسدت صلاته على الصحيح” (“his prayer is invalid according to the correct view”), as in the gloss on Nur al-Idah, Kanz al-Daqa'iq and others, and in some books “بطلت صلاته” (“his prayer is void”), as in al-Quduri?
