A woman covering her hair in prayer

Question

What is the ruling on women praying in front of the members of the household wearing a thin headscarf or a small cloth like a kerchief with which the hair is not covered?

Answer

If the hair of the head is not covered, the prayer is not valid, even if there is no non-mahram present and all are mahrams.
