How the Proxy for Hajj Can Avoid Tamattu‘

Question

For Hajj badal, after entering ihram at the miqat, is it necessary to keep it until the completion of the Hajj, given that one has to remain in ihram for about four months, since I am going before Ramadan? Can one come out of ihram after performing ‘Umra or not? Kindly inform me soon.

Answer

Since you are going before Ramadan, enter ihram at the miqat and perform ‘Umra; then during the blessed Ramadan keep performing ‘Umras as much as you can: one ‘Umra in the blessed Ramadan carries a reward equal to a Hajj with the noble Prophet ﷺ. Then, when Ramadan ends, do not perform any ‘Umra.
