Writing the Name of Ghawth-e Pak after the Prophet ﷺ in the Wording of Salawat
Question
(1) What is the ruling of the Sacred Law on the addition of “‘ala sayyidina ghawthina ghawth-e a‘zam” (علی سیدنا غوثنا غوث اعظم — “…and upon our master, our Ghawth, the Ghawth al-A‘zam”) after the salawat in the calligraphic inscription under consideration? (2) In the salawat of this inscription the noble name of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has been written without titles and forms of respect, whereas the blessed name of Hazrat Jilani ﵀ has been given the title “sayyiduna al-a‘zam” (“our greatest master”).
Answer
(1) If salat and salam upon the sacred person of the Master of the World, the Noblest Prophet ﷺ, is extended — as something subordinate [to him] — to his family and Companions, the Ahl al-Bayt, his progeny, his wives and his followers as well, that is correct.
