The Praises of “Salawat-e Lakkhi” (“The Hundred-Thousand Salawat”) and Similar Texts
Question
What is the true origin of the “Nur-nama” (“The Book of Light”), the “‘Ahd-nama” (“The Covenant Document”), the du‘a “Ganj al-‘Arsh” (“Treasure of the Throne”), the “Salawat-e Taj” (“The Blessing of the Crown”) and the “Salawat-e Lakkhi” (“The Hundred-Thousand Salawat”)? Are the praises written about them correct, or are they exaggeration? Secondly, are they established from the Holy Messenger ﷺ, or did people compose them themselves? What is the ruling regarding reciting them?
Answer
No sound chain of transmission is established for any of them, and the praises that have been written about them are baseless. Instead of them, one should recite the Holy Qur’an, the salawat, the kalima and istighfar.
