May a fundraiser make himself the owner of the donations (tamlik)?

Question

A fundraiser collected donations. Can he himself take them into his ownership (tamlik), given that he himself owns some property but has no cash?

Answer

People did not give the donations to the fundraiser so that he himself would become their owner; rather, they gave them so that they would be spent on the food and clothing of the students. Therefore it is not right for him to become their owner himself.
