Relieving a fundraiser of his post

Question

We had a certain fundraiser for a period of eight months. His salary for working days was even paid to him in advance. He was also lent money as needed, and the said gentleman seems to be aware of this. Nowadays, owing to circumstances and high prices, the financial condition of the madrasa has weakened and there have been delays in paying the advance for working days, which the said gentleman takes as a hardship. Yet this humble one (the questioner)

Answer

Not everyone has the same capacity for endurance. One should deal with each person according to his standing. Reasoning with him gently would have been prudent; it would also have been to the madrasa’s benefit, since you do not have another helper. Taking such action in anger on the basis of one’s own kindness and good performance is to undo one’s own kindness.
