Entitlement to Salary on Resigning without Notice

Question

Zayd taught at a madrasa for nearly two years, with an undertaking to abide by the madrasa’s rules. One day the committee members, seeing the decline in education, without impinging on Zayd’s honour and dignity, seriously reminded him, on account of the decline in education, to pay attention to the students. Zayd took offence. On this basis he resigned from teaching, and now he denies the madrasa’s rules. In the month of resignation Zayd did twenty days of teaching work, and ten days remain.

Answer

Drawing attention on seeing the decline in education is not removal from the madrasa. If the teacher, affected by this, has resigned, then it is binding (lazim) to resign one month in advance. If, having resigned, he works for a month, he will be entitled to the salary for that month.
