Salary for the period to a teacher sent home for a time for fear of unrest
Question
Because of a dispute among the students, the administrators of a madrasa sent one teacher home. After fifteen days this teacher came back to the madrasa. What is the ruling on paying him the salary for these 15 days and on his accepting it?
Answer
When, for fear of unrest (fasad) and for the sake of the madrasa’s interests, the madrasa’s managing committee sent a teacher to his hometown for 15 days, and then, once the fear of unrest had passed and a mutual reconciliation had been reached, called the teacher back, the salary for the 15 days may be given to the teacher, and there is no harm in his taking it.
