Not Spending at the Time of Need Is Also a Breach of Trust

Question

The Islamic madrasa’s funds amount to 400 rupees, and this money is with the president of the madrasa. He neither puts the madrasa’s money into the madrasa nor hands it over when asked. Some people belong to his group and want to keep him as president. Should he be kept as president or not?

Answer

If there is a need for spending in the madrasa and yet he does not give this money to the madrasa, nor meets the need himself, from which one can infer that he has spent its money on his own affairs, then the members and influential people of the madrasa should demand it. If, God forbid, breach of trust (khiyana)
