What Course Should Be Taken to Save an Institution from Ruin by an Opposing Group?
Question
A man is the head of an institution and is also an ‘alim. For some time he has become conceited; he has young girls educated without hijab. Since he has a majority on the committee, it is also difficult to remove him. The teachers of this institution, fed up, have left as well, and new teachers have come. There are two parties, with severe disagreement between them. To harass the opposing party, this man has started filing reports with the police and litigation.
Answer
Whatever is haram and a sin is haram and a sin for the head as well; for the workers, the members and the public it is haram too. Saving the institution from ruin is everyone’s responsibility, but a wrong method must not be adopted for it.
