Dismissing the rector of a madrasa and its staff without cause
Question
In an old madrasa, as soon as a new committee came to power, at its very first meeting it dismissed the madrasa’s rector — an extremely truthful, trustworthy and honest man of about thirty years’ standing — without stating or proving any shortcoming or error. Under the new committee the old teachers continued working as before.
Answer
When the director and the teachers are working properly, diligently and in accordance with the madrasa’s regulations, there is no right to dismiss or suspend them without reason, nor any right to withhold their salary.
