Reserving an Ablution Jug and a Place in the Mosque for Oneself

Question

If a worshipper reserves for himself one jug in the mosque for his ablution and a place for his prayer — is this permissible or not?

Answer

Every worshipper has the right to perform ablution from every jug of the mosque; likewise every worshipper has the right to pray in every part of the mosque. Therefore no one may, on the grounds of some special status of his own, forbid any worshipper from using a particular jug or from praying in a particular part of the mosque.
