Using the Mosque’s Ablution Jugs for Personal Purposes
Question
All the jugs kept in the mosque are used for all kinds of purposes both by those who pray and by those who do not. Is this right or not?
Answer
Using the mosque’s jugs for all kinds of purposes is not correct; they should be used only for ablution (wudu’), for cleaning oneself after relieving oneself (istinja’) and for ghusl. There is also latitude for drinking water from them or for washing some minor item of clothing somewhere for the prayer.
