Reciting in tarawih on the basis of preponderant assumption
Question
When the Qur’an is recited in tarawih, doubt arises whether here there is [the letter] “waw” or “kha” (خ), or some other kind of doubt; and the hafiz recited on the basis of preponderant assumption (ghalabat al-zann), and it turned out to be correct — will the prayer be valid or not? And likewise, [if] he recited incorrectly but the meaning did not change, for example he recited “قَبْلَهُمْ” instead of “مِن قَبْلِهِمْ” — is the prayer valid or not?
Answer
In all [these] cases the prayer is valid.
