The Follower Said “Indeed!” at the End of Qunut al-Nazila: What Is the Ruling on the Prayer?
Question
In the prayer the imam recited qunut al-nazila; the follower kept saying “amin” to each supplication, but at the words [ar]تَبَارَكْتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ[/ar] “Blessed are You and exalted, O Possessor of majesty and honour!” the follower said “indeed”. In such a case, was the follower’s prayer valid or not?
Answer
Affirming the attributes of the Lord Most High does not make the prayer fasid; nevertheless the follower should remain silent. Let him repeat this prayer.
