Should the hands be folded or let down in qunut al-nazila?

During qunut al-nazila, should one fold the hands or let them down? What is the legal status of this matter?

Answer

There are both views on this. One view is that one folds the hands, as in qiyam. The other is that one keeps the hands let down, as in qawma. Therefore no one should be objected to. [ar]والحاصل أنه يضع عند الشيخين في القنوت، سواء كان قبل الركوع أو بعده[/ar] “The upshot is that, according to the two Shaykhs (al-shaykhayn)
