Reciting al-Fatiha, raising the hands, audible amin, tarawih
Question
Question: (1) Zayd recites Surat al-Fatiha behind the imam and 'Amr does not, and both call themselves "Muhammadi". What we wish to know is: according to the Shari'a of Muhammad, whose prayer will be valid and whose will not? (2) Bakr holds to the audible amin, and Zayd does not hold to the audible amin. Whose practice and position is correct? (3) Is raising the hands (raf' al-yadayn) in accordance with the Shari'a of Muhammad or not? (4)
Answer
(1) The question is not clear: is the disagreement between Zayd and 'Amr about the silent prayer or the audible prayer? Nor could it be understood what "Muhammadi" refers to: is this attribution to Hazrat the Prophet ﷺ or to some other imam, such as Imam Muhammad ibn al-Hasan or Imam Muhammad ibn Idris and others? This word is not found anywhere in the books of hadith.
