Translating the khutba and explaining the rulings after the Eid al-Fitr khutba

Question

Is it permissible according to the Shari‘a, after delivering the Eid al-Fitr khutba, to remain standing on the minbar in the same way and give a speech with a translation of the khutba and on the related rulings?

Answer

There is no room for this. It is better that the rulings and issues related to Eid be explained on the Friday before Eid; and the khutba must certainly be in Arabic, and the necessary rulings should be explained before the Eid prayer.
