Takbir before the Eid khutba

Question

Is there a takbir before the khutbas of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr, as there is in the Jumu‘a khutba, or is there not? Should there be one or not?

Answer

Before the Jumu‘a khutba there is no takbir; there is the adhan. And before the khutba of the two Eids there is not even an adhan.
