Compensation for Omitted Rami in the Following Year

Question

Aslam performed Hajj, but the first rami (stoning) was omitted by him. Owing to lack of means and opportunity he could not offer the dam (sacrificial animal) in that same year. If, to discharge himself of this obligation, he wishes to offer the dam this year, may he do so, and will he be absolved of the responsibility? And what form will this take?

Answer

He will be absolved even by offering the dam within the bounds of the Haram in the following year; let him appoint someone as his agent (wakil).
