Dam Is Due If Only a Few Hairs Are Cut When Leaving the Ihram of ‘Umra

Question

About 6 months before this I went for ‘Umra for the first time, and after the ‘Umra I had only a few hairs of my head cut and came back (I had performed one ‘Umra). Then, a few months ago, I went again and performed two ‘Umras, and both times I had only a few hairs of my head cut (this time I performed two ‘Umras). Until now I had been able to find only small booklets on Hajj and ‘Umra in which the rulings are not explained in detail.

Answer

Give three dams for the three ‘Umras — whether before the Hajj, or during the days of sacrifice (ayyam al-nahr), or afterwards, whenever it is convenient. May Allah Most High grant you an accepted (mabrur) Hajj and protect you from every kind of violation (jinayat).
