Sending People for Hajj with Collected Donations or at One's Own Expense

Question

If the respected pilgrims are sent off for Hajj by collecting donations, or some people of their own wish send someone off for Hajj at their own expense, what is the ruling on this?

Answer

If a person who cannot himself go for Hajj sends someone for Hajj badal on his own behalf or on behalf of some deceased person, this is correct: the Hajj of the one on whose behalf it is performed will be discharged.
