Replying to a Qadiani’s Salam and His Invitation
Question
If a Qadiani offers salam, is it to be replied to or not? And may one greet them with salam on one’s own initiative or not? Further, if he gives an invitation [to a meal], may one attend or not? And may one invite them to some feast of one’s own or not?
Answer
The Qadiani [Mirza Ghulam Ahmad] wrote down in his books his creed, which is contrary to the definitive texts (nusus qat‘iyya); therefore he is outside Islam and an apostate (murtadd), and a Muslim who adopts the Qadiani religion has the same ruling. To greet him with salam, to reply to his salam, to accept his invitation and to invite him is not permissible.
