The Nikah of One Who Becomes a Qadiani Does Not Remain
Question
Zayd was a Hanafi, a Sunni, a man of sound belief. God knows under what influences he became a Qadiani and abandoned his former way. The question is: in this state, does his wife remain in his nikah and does the duty of discharging the marital rights remain upon him, or has the nikah terminated, the marital tie ended, and the wife become unlawful for her husband?
Answer
The Qadiani [Mirza Ghulam Ahmad] committed what is contrary to the finality of prophethood and to many fundamental beliefs of Islam, and despite repeated warnings he did not retract his words. Therefore, according to the fatwa of the ulama of Islam, he is outside Islam and an apostate (murtadd).
