Objections Concerning the Creation of the Children of Adam

Question

A newspaper cutting is enclosed. I do not have sufficient knowledge of the Holy Qur’an, and so I stand in need of your kindness. One man has challenged the scholars of the entire Islamic world, and it is absolutely necessary that every ‘alim, mufti, mawlana and religious scholar — whoever they may be — answer this article. If religion is not presented in the light of the present age, what will its consequences be? One gentleman said: the very foundation of religion is fear, and everything revolves around this fear.

Answer

These questions have not newly arisen today in the minds of these young men; rather they are very old, and centuries have passed over them; they are found in “al-Tafsir al-Kabir”, in the Tafsir of al-Baydawi and elsewhere.
