Deducting a Teacher’s Salary for Absences
Question
A man is employed for imamate and teaching; the salary is not fixed separately for each. In this situation, is it necessary to deduct something for absences from the madrasa, or if he goes with the consent of the administrators, nothing will be deducted — whether he goes for tabligh or for a personal need? If the administrators give permission and do not deduct anything from the salary, will they not be sinful?
Answer
A standing arrangement should be settled by the mutual consent of both parties.
