The children of a madrasa employee living in the madrasa house
Question
A teacher was invited from India for a period of five years to teach at a madrasa. Here, in addition to his salary, he was given rent-free a house endowed for the madrasa, the monthly cost of water and electricity in which was also borne by the madrasa. When the five years were completed, the employment was not renewed, but the said person continued teaching. Both of his sons are living in this endowed house.
Answer
Since the employment contract was for five years, the employment ended when the term was completed: neither the right to live in the madrasa house remained, nor the entitlement to salary. However, after the five years had passed, the madrasa people kept him at work as before: he went on working, kept receiving his salary, and kept living in the madrasa house.
