Entering the Mosque in a State of Janaba
Question
Was it permissible for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to enter the mosque in a state of janaba (major ritual impurity) or not? If it was permissible, was this particular to him, or is the ruling the same for everyone?
Answer
The door of the house of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ opened into the mosque; therefore the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was permitted to pass through (murur) in a state of janaba. As for everyone entering any mosque in a state of janaba, that was not permissible even at that time, and it is not permissible for anyone now either.
