Passing through the mosque from the mosque’s chamber in a state of janaba

Question

Adjoining the mosque there is also a chamber of the imam; the imam rests there. However, at the word of a few people, the imam brought his family with him and keeps them in this chamber, and marital relations must surely take place, since he is a young man. From the chamber there is a way into the mosque, and in a state of impurity they come out through the mosque and go to the pond; there is no other way.

Answer

This practice — coming into the mosque in a state of impurity and keeping one’s wife in the mosque’s chamber and having relations with her, while the way from the chamber leads into the mosque itself and there is no other way — is not permissible according to the Sharia.
