Coming to the mosque in a state of menstruation or janaba, and without istinja
Question
Outside the mosque there is a latrine. If someone relieves himself in it and cleans himself with unbaked clods of earth, without washing with water, may he come inside the mosque — for the purpose of taking water — or should he not come at all without washing with water? Likewise, what is the ruling on a junub and a menstruating woman coming into the mosque?
Answer
It is not permissible for a junub or a menstruating woman to enter the floor of the mosque, the interior of the mosque. Coming after cleaning with clods of earth, without washing with water, is permissible.
