Buying and selling in the mosque

What is the ruling on someone buying and selling in the mosque? If it is permissible, then in which things?

Answer

Buying and selling in the mosque is prohibited. Only the one in iʿtikaf (muʿtakif) is permitted to the extent that he may transact for a necessary item with a person who has come to the mosque, in such a way that the goods are not with him.
