Taking the Mosque’s Water Jug and Prayer Mat Outside for Use

Question

May the mosque’s water jug, prayer mat and the like be taken outside the mosque and used there, or not?

Answer

The mosque’s water jug should not be taken outside the mosque, since arrangements exist within the mosque compound for the need to be met. Likewise, the mosque’s prayer mat should not be used outside the mosque, especially for sitting and chatting.
