Using the Fruit of the Mosque’s Tree
Question
There is a mosque, and inside this mosque there is a tree; fruit has grown on this tree and has ripened. Is it permissible for anyone to eat this fruit? And if a Tablighi jamaʿat arrives at this mosque, may its members be given this fruit to eat or not?
Answer
It is evident that this tree belongs to the mosque. The price of the fruit should be paid to the mosque, and then one may give it to whomever one wishes to eat.
