Cooking Food on a Place Belonging to the Mosque
Question
In a part of the mosque where the Shariʿa rulings do not apply, where one may not go in a state of impurity, food is cooked in a cauldron, and people sit and eat right there. Is this correct? It is becoming a custom. What is the ruling of the Shariʿa?
Answer
If that place belongs to the mosque, it is not right to use it in this way for one’s personal purposes; this should be avoided.
