Taking the Mosque’s Ladder and the Like Home for Use

Question

If, with the permission of the mosque’s mutawalli (trustee), a person takes the mosque’s ladder or stool home and uses it, is this permissible or not?

Answer

A thing that was bought with the mosque’s money should not, as a general rule, be given to other people when they ask the mosque for it for their own needs. However, if the interests of the mosque require it, they may give it.
