Taking the Mosque’s Oil or Clods of Earth Home

Question

Many people take oil from the mosque’s lamp and apply it to their hands and feet, and many people carry clods of earth away from inside the mosque and keep them at home, using them there for istinja (cleansing after relieving oneself). Is it proper to do so or not?

Answer

Neither of these two things is permitted.
