Ghusl in Severe Cold
Question
Where I am, snow falls; water is found beneath many feet of snow, and there is severe cold. If someone has a nocturnal emission (ihtilam) in the month of Ramadan and, because of the severity of the cold, cannot perform ghusl, what is the ruling?
Answer
If there is no means of heating water and there is a strong fear of falling ill from performing ghusl with cold water, then at that time he should perform tayammum and pray, and afterwards, having heated water, he will perform ghusl. His fast is not affected by this either. Confirmation of the answer — Mawlana Nizamuddin The answer is correct.
