The Ruling on the Drop [of Urine]

Question

I have an ailment of the drop [of urine]: sometimes it comes continually for two months at a time, and sometimes it does not come for two or three months at a time. At times I make wudu properly and pray, without even suspecting a drop, but while praying a drop comes out. What course should be adopted in such a situation? Should I break the intention [of the prayer], make wudu and join the congregation, or carry on praying as I am? And should the clothes be purified after the prayer or not?

Answer

If you are not a ma'dhur (excused person) according to the Shari‘a, then the prayer will be broken by the coming of the drop: you should immediately break the intention [of the prayer] and make wudu, and the clothing should also be purified. If you are a ma'dhur according to the Shari‘a, then the prayer was not broken.
