The Ruling on Urinary Incontinence (Silsil al-Bawl)
Question
A certain person cannot control his urine: it keeps coming out all the time, he is never pure at any time, and his clothes are always impure from urine. [He writes:] “Nor do I have any means of changing my clothes all the time, because I have neither that many clothes nor the resources. What should I do in such a situation? May I perform the prayer under such compulsion? If you permit it, then in what manner — by going to the mosque, or only at home?”
Answer
In such a condition you are a ma'dhur (excused person) according to the Shari‘a. At the time of each prayer, make a fresh wudu and perform the prayer. There is no need to repeat the wudu because of the urine, nor is it obligatory to change the clothes. If there is a fear of urine coming out in the mosque, do not go to the mosque; perform [the prayer] at home.
