The Ruling on Dribbling of Urine (Taqatur al-Bawl)

Question

For six consecutive years I (lit. “this servant”) have suffered from dribbling of urine (taqatur al-bawl): most often immediately after urinating, or some time later, and sometimes inside the prayer or while making wudu, drops of urine come out. Now, when this condition occurs in the prayer, I go to [make] wudu, and meanwhile the congregation (jama‘at) finishes — what should I do in that case? Sometimes the amount of urine becomes so great that it exceeds the size of a dirham.

Answer

Since you are not a person with an excuse (a ma'dhur in the Shar‘i sense), all the prayers you prayed while the drops were coming, or after the drops came without making wudu, in impure clothing (when [the impurity] exceeds the pardoned amount), must be repeated. In your case the coming of a drop nullifies wudu.
