Clothes Washed by a Hindu Washerman

Question

The clothes that Hindu washermen wash — are they pure or impure?

Answer

An impure garment becomes pure even when a Hindu purifies it. Therefore, as long as no impurity is known [to be on it], a garment washed by a Hindu washerman is pure. However, it is better to have it washed by a Muslim washerman.
