If There Is Fear That Wringing Will Tear a Garment or Affect Its Quality
Question
If invisible impurity (najasa ghayr mar'iyya) has got onto a garment, and after washing it one dries it each time instead of wringing it, will the garment become pure or not? For although some garments can be wrung, there is fear that, owing to their weakness, wringing will tear them; and some garments are such that there is no fear of their tearing, but [wringing] affects their quality.
Answer
If there is fear of its tearing, then drying it three times is also sufficient. The issue of not wringing because of the effect on quality has not come to my attention.
