The Ruling When Mouse Droppings Are Found in Cooked Rice
Question
If a mouse dropping turns up in cooked rice, should the rice be eaten or thrown away? Is a mouse dropping pure or impure?
Answer
If the dropping is whole, it is permissible to eat all of it except the rice next to it (two or four grains); as a precaution the rice next to it should be set aside. (Thus in Naf‘ al-Mufti.)
