Istinja' with Paper and Cloth

Question

If there is only one clod of earth, may one first dry oneself with paper or cloth and then dry oneself with the clod? Is this proper?

Answer

This too is proper, but [on condition that] nothing is written on the paper, and it is not plain [writing] paper either; rather it should be paper of a kind that is used specifically for istinja' and is not used for writing.
