Having Another Person Perform One's Istinja'

Question

If a sick person becomes so weak that he cannot perform istinja', wudu and the like with his own hands, how should he perform the prayer?

Answer

If he can attain purity through someone else, he should pray with purity, i.e. with istinja' and wudu; otherwise he should pray as he is. However, if the istinja' is performed by anyone other than the wife, it is not permissible for that person to touch it (the private part) or to look [at it].
