Rinsing the Mouth, the Miswak and Washing the Feet in the Pool
Question
When performing wudu at the pool inside the mosque: after cleaning the teeth with a miswak stick, washing that same stick by dipping it right into the water of the pool; when rinsing the mouth, rinsing it right into the water of the pool instead of the drain; when washing the feet, washing both feet by dipping them right into the water of the pool — to what extent are these three things proper? Will the water be spoiled or will it remain pure?
Answer
A pool that is ten by ten cubits will not become impure through these things. However, good manners and decorum require that the mouth be rinsed not into the pool but into the drain. The miswak stick, too, should be washed over the drain and not dipped into the pool.
