The Used Water of a Junub and a Menstruating Woman Is Not Impure

Question

Is the used water of a junub and of a woman in hayd pure or impure? That is, if the used water of a junub or a menstruating woman falls into a small quantity of water or into a well and the like, will it remain pure or become impure? Likewise, if more than a dirham of it gets on clothes and the like, will prayer in those clothes be valid or not? If her used water is impure, then doubt will arise about menstruating women cooking food and other matters.

Answer

Water that has touched the hand and the like of a junub, or of a woman in hayd or nifas, is not impure (najis), provided no real impurity (najasa haqiqiyya) is on that hand; if such water falls into a well, the well will not become impure.
