Drops of Used Water Falling on the Body or Clothes

Question

If, while making wudu or after making wudu, wudu water falls on the body or on some garment on the body, in that case has the garment, or the part of the body on which the used water (ma' musta'mal) fell, become impure (najis) — has that place or that garment become impure? Kindly write in detail, with evidence and proof from reliable hadiths and books of fiqh.

Answer

According to the position on which fatwa is given, neither the body nor the clothes become impure from this water. [ar]والماء المستعمل لقربة أو رفع حدث إذا استقر في مكان طاهر لا مطهر[/ar] “Water used for drawing near [to Allah] or for removing hadath, once it has settled in a pure place, is pure, not purifying” (al-Bahr, vol. 1, p. 90).
