Slaughtering Without Wudu and Wearing Underwear

Question

A man without wudu, wearing underwear, slaughters a goat, although water for wudu and trousers to put on are available. Is the slaughter permissible or not?

Answer

When a Muslim slaughters a goat after saying “bismillah, Allahu akbar,” the animal he has slaughtered is lawful (halal) even in the state described in the question; it is not unlawful.
